Every employer wants to know how to keep great employees working
for them. There are three things you can do right away to keep your
employees loyal to your company. Without keeping great, intelligent
employees working for you, you will always be constantly interviewing
and seeking new people to work for you. Turnover rates are one of the
biggest problems many corporations face today.

The first thing you
can do right away for your employees is to show a genuine interest in.
If you show respect to your employees, they will feel as though they
have a place in the company. When you show your employees that you
appreciate them, this makes them become loyal and happy employees.
When a person feels like they are appreciated and wanted, they will
become very highly productive on a daily basis. If your employee
believes you have their best interest in mind, you will create a
workplace where people want to come to everyday.

The second thing
you can do is very basic and simple. Show your employees each and
every day that you appreciate them and the work they do for you. A
simple thank you for doing a job well goes a long way in motivating
people. I'm not saying to praise them on an hourly basis for things
that are expected of them on a daily basis. If you overuse this
tactic, it will backfire on you. From time to time, you will need to
be the judge how often, let your employees know that you appreciate
them and thank them for their hard work.

The third thing you can do
is be specific when you are thinking your employees. Instead of saying
to them thank you for doing an excellent job; you need to be specific
with detail. If you have sales people that work for you, saying to
them in detail about a particular job they have sold is much more
beneficial than a general statement. You might say to your employee,
you have handled the XYZ account for one year now wonderfully. You
have dealt with every single issue that has come about in a very
timely manner and kept the XYZ Company happy. I want to thank you for
your hard work and dedication to our company, especially in this
particular project.

Follow these three rules of thumb for your
employees and you will surely create a much happier workplace for
everyone.
