We Americans are notorious for evolving the English language. Our
language has been completely chaotic to some who know it well, and we
don't always understand each other when using plain English. I'm not
sure about the present, but there was a time when 'bad' meant 'good',
and 'hot' and 'cool' meant about the same thing, and had nothing to do
with temperature. The latest that I've heard is 'Google it.' What a
strange word! "It doesn't mean anything," you say. Oh, but it does,
and it's one of the most helpful, intelligent phrases that you'll
find. What it will do for you is give you information on most any
subject. You need a new chili recipe, Google it. A new party dress,
Google it. A place to go camping, Google it. Looking for tents, pocket
bikes, a new refrigerator, a place to ride your mini dirt bike? Just
Google it. You can type in any question whether long or short, and
Google will almost always find something for you.What that means is;
turn on your computer, type 'Google search' on your search bar, click
on 'Google search', then type in a topic about which you need
information. Up comes several places where that information can be
found. You can now wander down the information highway and gather
jewels of knowledge. There are three major websites for information.
You can also check out 'Yahoo' and 'MSN' search engines, but 'googling
it' really sounds 'cool.' Have fun and get smart googling your way to
knowledge.
