"For Internet Marketers Who Are Almost (But Not Quite) Satisfied
With The Performance Of Their Website And Can't Figure Out What They
Are Doing Wrong."Would You Like To Learn The Secrets of How To Make
Your Visitors Take Action? As an information Marketer you need to be
able to capture the interest of your potential clients swiftly when
they land on your website. Often you will have paid for traffic to
come to a page on your website via pay per click or maybe an
advertisement in a magazine or newspaper. So now that your prospect
has landed on your web page and the first thing that is in their mind
is "What's in it for me?" How are you going to answer this? With a
bold headline that drags them in, of course! Can you see that example
of a headline at the beginning of this article? Granted that it is an
age old formula that has been around for many years now, but it seeks
to address a problem that the prospective client has. It really is
hugely powerful and was first used by Mel Martin in 1970 for about
three years. It is aimed squarely at members of a niche, in this case
Internet Marketers. The reader will immediately associate that this
headline is talking to people who are just like themselves. It is
meant to offer the reader the possibility that here they will get
those answers that they are seeking and so it causes them to read
on.Once you have crafted a great heading that has got their attention,
you should turn your mind to the subheading. The subheading in an
article or a sales letter, either on-line or off, should address the
benefit to the reader. What is it that you are promising them? What is
it that you are offering the prospect client? Simply state what it is
in the subheading so that they understand what the benefit of doing
business with you is. The purpose of the subheading is to make your
reader want to carry on to find out what the rest of the page offers
them. Take a look at the subheading that I have used for this
article."Would You Like To Learn The Secrets of How To Make Your
Visitors Take Action?" I'm asking a question here that I'm assuming
that your going to want an answer to. The benefit I am offering is the
answer to how you could possibly make visitors arriving on a page of
your website click the order button or enter their email into your
name capture box - this so that you can start sending them useful
messages and build a relationship. Hope this helps. And another thing.
Please don't go out and copy someone else's ad word for word, this is
known as theft! The idea is that you should become inspired by their
words into creating your own version of their headlines. A trick that
some people advise you to do is to keep a swipe file into which you
keep great examples of other people's copy that you have found
inspired you to take action. Then, when the time comes, you should
endeavour to weave their ideas into your own piece by swiping and
deploying.
