Some are hopeful that negotiations with Iran and talks can resume,
but what's there to talk about now? The Obama Administration's
strategy failed, and now Iran has no reason to talk with the US. Iran
has made headway into Afghanistan, Iraq, and emboldened Hamas and
Hezbollah. President Obama has been outplayed on the Chess Board, and
all he can do is make war threats if and when Iran has nukes. That's a
dangerous game indeed. An interesting article on this topic is "US
Tries Restart of Talks With Iran" by Jay Solomon which was published
in the Wall Street Journal on October 27, 2010. You may wish to go and
read the article, it's very well done, and if you don't take the Wall
Street Journal you should. You can get it now on your iPhone or iPad
like me, it will help you stay informed, and it is a reliable and
unbiased source for news. Now then, after you find that article online
come back to this article so we can talk. Why? Because, I don't think
the Iranians have anything to gain from talking with us now, they've
won this round, they have their nuclear power plant, told the IAEA to
take a hike, much the same as Venezuela's Hugo Chavez has now.
Further, now the Iranians can really step up their nuclear weapons
plans, and now they have the Plutonium option or route to nukes. And, I
suspect since the Obama Administration botched this so badly that
Venezuela will have nukes before President Obama's second term, that's
if the American People don't vote him out of office for
piss-poor-performance, perceived or otherwise. If Venezuela has nukes,
you can bet Bolivia is close behind, and Ecuador, so, obviously,
Brazil will too, just to balance the power of thermo-nuclear weapons
capability just in case it needs them in the future.Could it get any
worse? Yes, because President Amendinejad has been repeating his
mantra of "blowing Israel off the map" and continues to do so to this
day, and we've seen his speeches at the UN, so giving nukes and
military science advisers to a proxy terrorist organization like
Hezbollah, Hamas, Taliban, or Al Qaeda is more than possible, some
military and geo-political security advisers actually expect it and
would be surprised if he didn't.
