Those of you that have been into Runescape for a while will know
that without a doubt, Runescape is on its own tier when it comes to
"browser-based" MMORPG's. That's not to say that there isn't games
like Runescape worth downloading - but actually that there isn't any
browser games worth playing besides Runescape - just my two cents.
After downloading many gigabytes worth of free MMORPG's, and after
much playing time, I still regularly play four or five free to play
MMORPG's.Rappelz Online
Rappelz was one of the first MMO's that I
downloaded after my exodus from Runescape. And I am glad to say that I
still play it on the regular. It is arguably the best MMO out at the
moment, and probably has the best graphics out of any MMO, even better
than the pay to plays. One of the notable things about Rappelz is its
innovative pet system--where the player can catch pets in the wild (or
purchase them) then train them to fight and aid them whilst they
adventure--almost like Pokemon.Allods
Now, Allods online is very very
very similiar to WoW (World of Warcraft), so much so that I suspect
they used the same techniques in construction. However, one of Allods
saving graces is that it is free to play.Allods has a very strong
emphasis on story line, which is unlike some games like Runescape, in
which a lot of the quests are at random. The graphics, classes, quests
and PvP make this game a winner for me.Flyff (Fly For Fun)
Flyff is
one of the most fun and addictive games I have ever played. It is
available on both the PC and Wii platforms and I highly recommend
trying it out.
