Build Your List FAST! - How To "Talk" Your Visitors Into Opting In

One of the most important aspects of building your list as fast as
you can, and one that is often overlooked, is using the appropriate
language for your intended audience.Use Simple Language That Is Easy
To ReadFirst of all you need to make sure that the language you use is
simple and easy to read. When I say easy-to-read I mean that in two
ways. First of all, this has to do with the actual text that you will
use more so than the language. That text on your landing page must be
easy-to-read, spaced properly to give enough room between sentences
and paragraphs so the reader has no problem understanding what you are
trying to say.Use clean looking fonts such as Arial, Tahoma, Georgia
etc. Bolding text, highlighting and underlining is okay if used
sparingly but do not overdo it with these little eye
catchers.Secondly, when I say easy-to-read I mean the actual language
you are using must fit the language that is used by the target
audience that you want to opt in to your list. You don't want to
sound like a university professor if you are trying to get truckers to
opt in and get your free report on maximizing horse power in their
rigs! It's extremely important to match your language to the language
used by your market. Connect with them using their words, sayings and
slang that they would use on a daily basis. You stand a much better
chance of making a connection with the visitor and them taking the
action that you want them to take which of course is opting in to your
mailing list.If You Don't Know How To Sound Like "Them"If you are
trying to reach a segment of the population and you don't know exactly
how they speak or which words they tend to use over and over...its
simple to find out.Simply use your favorite search engine to find
forums that cover the audience you are marketing to. All you have to
do is spend a bit of time reading through the forum to see the words
that get repeated, the slang they use and the overall feel of the
conversation. If you want to go even deeper into your research, try
actually commenting on the forum and see how you fit in. Notice how
other members of the forum respond to you and the language you use.
If you notice that you can almost seamlessly fit into the
conversations that are going on...you just might have a decent grasp
on the "sound" of your audience. You will find that its no longer
"Them", but "Us" who you are speaking to!
