Do you know what your clients' and customers' most troubling
problems are? If you don't find out! Stop reading this article now
because it won't make sense until you know what it is that is
problematic for your customers. If you DO know, however, keep
reading. You can create an autoresponder series that is designed to
solve your group's most pressing problems. That means, of course, that
you need to know your group and what it is that bothers them. Here are
a couple of ways of thinking about this: Some of the problems your
clients are having are ones that you can solve for free via the
content in your newsletter or other autoresponder series you're
sending out. That's one of the reasons that the Top Ten Productivity
Tips have been so successful. People subscribe and they get ideas each
week that potentially, they can implement right now. Other problems
that trouble your customers are ones that you can solve by
recommending paid products. This could include services, home study
courses, consulting, books, or whatever else it is that you know would
be helpful. In many cases you could integrate both of them, right in
the same Autoresponder series.Example #1: Let's suppose you have an
article about how to take great photographs of your pets. The article
itself is informational and in-demand by your market. But the article
could also pitch a certain type of camera or accessory through your
affiliate link.Example #2: Let's suppose you are writing an article on
how to optimize a website for the search engines. The article could go
through the basics of how to do it and yet it could include links to
SEO (search engine optimization) tools - either free or ones that are
paid services. Here's the take-away point:You don't have to "hard sell"
in every email you send out as part of your Autoresponder series (and
in fact, most people hate that. I know I do!) Instead, weave
recommendations and links for paid products into some of your free
content.A "Common Sense" Tip: NEVER recommend a product or service
that you wouldn't recommend to your mother or your best friend. It is
inauthentic and dishonest, in my opinion. It doesn't matter how high
the commission rate is, how amazing the conversion rate is, or how
much money you can stuff in your pockets recommending it. If the
product stinks, do NOT recommend it. Your reputation - and your future
sales and income - depends on this. Here's your second take-away
point:Create helpful information that you can deliver to your
subscribers in a written format (via an autoresponder series). As long
as you keep providing value in a timely manner, you continue to build
relationships with your folks because you're showing them your value.
