Mistakes Can Be the Greatest Lessons in Life

Everyone makes mistakes, there is no-one on this earth who has not
at some time or another made a mistake. However, if we are taught as
children the importance of learning from our mistakes then we can
think of them as our lessons in life.Mistakes that are made from bad
decisions can be very upsetting and very frustrating, especially if
you are a child and trying to make the right decisions, but as parents
we need to encourage our children to embrace those mistakes, learn
from them, and make sure that the lessons they do learn from them
ensures that they never make that same mistake again.Only by doing
this can we give our children the best platform for making good
qualified decisions throughout their lives. The biggest challenge is
to show them they must never dwell on mistakes they have made, yes
they will have some regrets but as long as they do not spend too much
time regretting and instead put that energy into making sure they
never put themselves in that same position again.Even as adults as we
go through life, we are still going to make mistakes. but providing
our parents have taught us that it is not the end of the world when we
do mess up, then we will learn not to let them hold us back.It is,
therefore, very important that we realise our jobs as parents do not
stop when our children grow into adult. Not that we still have to take
responsibility for them, as adults they are responsible for
themselves, but that we ensure that we are there to give the best
possible advice we can when they need us, no matter what age they are.
We can still help them pick themselves up, dust themselves off and
carry on with even greater determination.
