He's Just Not That Into You

A Notification to Readers Who Are Men/Guys:I am deducing you know by
now that this entry of mine - based on how I entitled it - is not
solely but particularly for women/girls. Having said that, the
following contents are arguably anchored in the standpoint of a woman,
but as I said, it's not exclusive.Well, at least struck me enough to
mull over the little bits and pieces that have been floating about in
my head for quite a while now, so to speak. Actually, I thought about
writing a review about the film beforehand, but after stumbling upon
an article a while ago akin to those "bits and pieces" I figured a
blog entry would do it more justice - believe me, there were a lot of
revelations presented in the movie that I think would do us girls
good. So here, I'll just get straight down to the gritty facts (or at
least I'd like to think so) that came to mind throughout the (reading
of the) article and the film.Chapter 1He's Not That Into You If He's
Not Asking You Out"Because if he likes you, trust me, he will ask you
out."
Men find it very satisfying to get what they want.
If a guy truly likes you, but for personal reasons, needs to take
things slow, he will let you know immediately. He won't keep you
guessing because he'll want to make sure you don't get frustrated and
go away.
Don't let him trick you into asking you out.
Men, for most part, like to pursue women.
An excuse is a polite rejection. Men are not afraid of "ruining the
friendship" or most of them anyway.
You are good enough to be asked out.
Chapter 2He's Just Not That Into You If He's Not Calling YouMen know
how to use the phone.
When you like someone, they just don't slip your mind.
You know they mean it when they actually do what they said they were
going to do.
Men are never too busy to get what they want.
If he's choosing not to make a simple effort that would put you at
ease and bring harmony to a recurring fight, then he simply doesn't
respect your feelings and needs.
You deserve a freaking phone call.
Chapter 3He's Just Not That Into You Is He's Not Dating You"Hanging
out" is not dating - assumptions are more perilous than you think.
A man who's really into you is going to want you all to himself.
Better than nothing is not good enough for you!
If you don't know where the relationship is going, it's okay to pull
over and ask if there's a guy out there who will want to tell everyone
he's your boyfriend.
Chapter 4Hmhm. This chapter falls under the "Rated R" category for
me, so I'd rather just skip this part.Chapter 5He's Just Not That Into
You If He's Sleeping With Someone ElseThere's never going to be a good
excuse for cheating.
Cheating doesn't just "happen". It was planned and executed with the
full awareness that it could end your relationship.
Cheating is a complete betrayal of trust.
And yes, cheating is a choice.
Chapter 6He's Just Not That Into You If He Only Wants To See You When
He's DrunkIf he likes you, he'll want to see you when his judgment
isn't impaired.
It doesn't count unless he says it when he's sober.
Drinking and drug use are not a path to one's innermost feelings.
You deserve to be with someone who doesn't have to get loaded to be
around you.
Chapter 7He's Just Not That Into You If He Doesn't Want To Marry
YouLove and time cures commitment phobia.
Never spend your time on and give your heart to any guy who makes you
wonder about anything related to his feelings for you.
If you don't feel like you're rushing, why are you waiting?
There's a guy out there who wants to marry you.
Chapter 8He's Just Not That Into You If He's Breaking Up With You"I
don't want to go out with you" means just always be classy. Never be
crazy.
A breakup is a definitive action, not a democratic one.
Breakup sex means you're still broken up.
Cut him off. Let him miss you.
Chapter 9He's Just Not That Into You If He's Disappeared On
YouSometimes you have to get closure all by yourself.
There's nothing worse than having no answer. "No answer is your
answer."
Don't give him the chance to reject you again.
There's no mystery - he's gone and he wasn't good enough for you.
Chapter 10He's Just Not That Into You If He's Married (And Other
Insane Variations Of Being Unavailable)If you're not able to love
fully, it's not really love.
He's married unless he's all yours, he's still hers.
Don't be that girl.
Chapter 11He's Just Not That Into You If He's A Selfish Jerk, A Bully,
Or A Really Big FreakIf you really love someone, you want to do things
to make that person happy.
You are the catch.
Life is hard enough as it is without choosing someone difficult to
share it with.
"Life would be perfect if sweatpants were sexy... Monday mornings were
fun... junk food didn't make you fat... girls didn't cause drama, boys
weren't so confusing... you always had time to do what you wanted...
nothing was regrettable... and goodbyes only meant until tomorrow. But
then, as we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't
supposed to let you down will. You will have your heart broken, more
than once and it will get harder every time. You'll want to break
hearts so just remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll
fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for something an
old love did. You'll cry because you feel alone, and you'll cry
because people won't leave you alone, and you'll lose someone you
love. So take pictures, laugh too hard, and love like you have never
been hurt because every minute you spend mad or upset is a minute of
happiness that you can never get back."-AnonymousAlbeit this movie
does draw a lot of points, still, it all boils down to one. Girls,
just wait for the guy that pursues you, the one that makes every day
seem magical, the guy that makes you feel so incredible about yourself
and can make you smile every minute you are with him. Wait for the guy
who shows you off to his friends even when you are in sweats, but
appreciates when you get all dressed up for him. Wait for the guy who
puts you at the center of his universe, because obviously - and
undeniably, we all know this - he will be at the center of yours.
