Next Generation Cars - Will They Use Solar Energy As Their Fuel?

The cost of petroleum is on hike every single day and we depend on
our cars to go anywhere and everywhere. It is becoming pretty hard to
afford the cost of such fuels. Well, the solar energy which is
available free comes to the rescue. Nowadays, there are cars that run
on solar energy. Cannot believe? Well, it is completely true and
people have already started depending on it.The best thing about these
cars is that it does not solely depend on solar energy as its fuel. It
comes as dual fuels which also let the petroleum fuel takes charge
once the solar energy fails to work or vice-versa. By doing this, we
are doing a huge favor to the environment as well. We are indirectly
helping the environment to not lose its balance when we depend on
petroleum less.Even though this alternative is there, solar power cars
are capable of running on its own without the help of any of these
conventional fuels. The shape of the car is weird as they are designed
in such a way the maximum amount of solar energy falls on it so that
it can be used more and more. The cells that are used to collect this
energy are big in size and they cover almost the entire vehicle. For
city use, and short trips, this is the best car available till
date.There is no problem faced during the night because the batteries
present inside the car are capable of storing energy and hence it can
be used for night drives as well. The defect found is that, since the
car is found very heavy, a lot of energy is required for the vehicle
to develop speed once on road. We can hope that in future, light
vehicles will come which will help in increasing the speed of the
vehicle as well.
