List of Reality TV Shows That Don't Suck

Let us admit it, Reality TV is actually unpleasant. MTV should
replace its name since it truly doesn't present music videos anymore
but instead includes a long list of really bad reality shows like
"Tool Academy", "Bad Girl's Club" and "From G's to Gents" (which I
actually like but still realize that it's unpleasant). Some of these
bad programs are just like watching a train crash. It's tough at times
to switch the stations. Other programs are so terrible that they're
easier to avoid like "The Karadashians" or "Real Housewives of Orange
County" or "Jersey Shore". Some programs aren't even worth mentioning
like "The Surrreal World" and "I Love New York".However, a few reality
TV is still convincing and the subsequent titles are on my personal
listing of reality shows that do not suck.One of the best reality
shows of all time remains to be "Survivor". Regardless of where they
dump off these people we are captivated to see as they live off of
rice and seafood (or at times bats and rats like James did with
relish) for thirty days straight. The infighting continues to be real
juicy and despite several years the television show still ranks high
among the list of reality Tv Programs on the networks. When they go to
tribal council and another person gets blindsided, it becomes clear
that the secret is actually how the producers opt to edit the show.
But as Eisenstein showed us many years ago, every single movie or
Television show is done from entire cloth in the editing room.Included
in my brief list of reality shows on tv that do not completely suck is
the fantastic and long running "American Idol", which is probably the
very best of the bunch. This is definitely an incredible feat because
basically all it really is is a talent show with lots of production
value and better contestants for the most part. The very best part of
the television show each season is the very start when individuals
line up for countless hours to be heard by the judges. All these
"audition" programs are fantastic as you get to listen to the worst
and funniest singing in the world. People are entertaining and it is
simply because they are fully deluded. This is the place where you
will see just how crazy most people is and trust me, it is terrifying.
However, like undesirable karaoke, you cannot turn away from it or
switch the station. Once they get very well into the show it usually
gets to be more unexciting, but the start is golden.Even though
reality TV had been available in one form or another for several
decades, it truly received momentum during the writer's strike in the
mid 1990s. The producers were forced to fill up air time and that
offered all of us several great shows, and dozens more that were awful
beyond words. Let's just hope that the writers stay on for a short
while longer. However, I would much rather watch "Tila Tequila" than
"CSI: Miami" any day each week.
