This article is in a series of articles that give free golf tips
online. This article in particular will show you how to get more
distance from your tee shots. Everyone that steps up on that tee would
love to drive the ball 300 yards. Hopefully with this free tip, you
will begin to creep closer to that huge 300 yard barrier. If you watch
professional golf, you probably marvel at how far these guys can hit
the ball. You will also want to know their secrets to getting such
awesome distance. If I told you that there is only one item that
separates you from them, would you believe me? Hopefully you will say
yes to that question and that you'd want to know what it is. Well, the
answer is simple...it's their swing speed! Professionals swing their
drivers anywhere from 105-120 mph. Normal golfers like you and me can
normally get anywhere from 70 mph up to the 110 mph range. In normal
conditions a 110mph swing speed will get you anywhere from 250 carry
yards up to around 300 carry yards. Other items like launch angle and
spin will also affect the way the ball carries. How do I get a faster
swing speed? There are a couple different answers to this question.
Quick fixes would include a longer driver, harder ball, or to tee it
up higher. But those changes will not affect distance that much. The
big change is a change in yourself. My tip is to work your muscles to
get stronger and faster and you will notice more yards. The way to get
stronger and faster is with the help of some training aids. You will
only need two training aids to improve distance. There are more out
there that will help you get even more, but I want to concentrate on
two. The first one is a heavy club. This puts more force on your
muscles as you swing a driver. You can buy a club that is pre made to
be heavier or you can buy a little golf club donut. The donut is very
similar to that of a baseball donut that I'm sure everyone has heard
of. The trick with the heavy club is to swing as hard as you can. In
commercials you will see guys swinging easy and smooth. That will not
increase distance, you will get stronger in your bigger muscles. But
you won't gain strength in the smaller, quicker muscles that you need
in your swing. If you swing the heavy club as fast as you can, you
will then use each muscle in your normal swing. The second training
tool would be to get an overspeed club. This would be a club that is
lighter than your actual driver. What this club does is trains your
muscles to go as fast as they possibly can. You create different
energies on your smaller muscles that will help you get your swing
speed faster. I made my own overspeed club with an old worn out shaft.
I got two balls, drilled holes in each of them and attached them to
the bottom of the shaft where the club head used to be. This weighs
considerably less than a driver and will help you develop that
speed.Hopefully you are able to use these training aids and can get a
jump on your competitors. I can promise you that if you were to follow
a type of training guide, your swing speed will be jumping off the
charts. Be sure to check out my author bio for more information.
