When it comes to the new re-found desire for people to start their
own business, people spend far too much time "tire-kicking." While I
understand the necessity of "looking before you leap" into a business,
there comes a time when you simply have to make a decision and get
moving!HARD TRUTH: Not everybody is cut out for the business they want
to be in. Every person has different abilities, interests, and goals.
This lends itself to people not being right for every business. Yet
one fact remains...you'll never make money if you never start
working. In my own experience, I started with an idea. The idea of
helping others learn that with a little bit of important information
and a lot of sweat, anyone with the drive to make it happen will earn
a real income from home, boat, beach, or just about anywhere they
want. This is not my first business that I have done from my home; far
from it. I have sold everything from self-help course to computer
software to marketing training. Each had a specific mindset that I
needed to have to have success. It required me to work at the business
and use my knowledge to make the money I wanted to have. Even though I
felt unprepared for some tasks I did, I kept at it. Why? Because I
knew that if I just I sat around wondering IF it would work; I just
did it!You can spend all your time looking under every rock for the
perfect business idea, but I can tell you that if you do, you will
out-think yourself only to end up convincing yourself that what ever
you choose to do just won't work! And you know what? It WON'T! Every
business has a potential flaw, but if that's all you focus on that all
you will see.NEWS FLASH: When you first start out with any business,
you're going to make some mistakes. Welcome to owning a business. I
can guarantee that every person who has operated their own business
will tell you that they have made mistakes with their business. No one
gets everything right. The thing that separates those who have success
and those that flame out, is that winner use their mistakes to get
better. If you're not willing to learn from your mistakes and use what
you learn to improve yourself and your business, then maybe you'd just
better stay at your 9-to-5 job.Having your own business means taking
risks and making decisions. If you're looking for someone to answer
every question you have, make every decision that comes up, and show
you EXACTLY what to do every step of the way, you don't need to be in
business for yourself. It's true, getting started is the hardest part.
But once you do, keep pushing forward. If you don't, you'll get
discouraged at the first hardship and want to give up. But hang in
there. When you see the first fruits of success, there are more to
come.
