Air conditioning system is a luxury component of any car. It helps
in cooling up of the internal atmosphere of a car and making the
journey a pleasurable one. It works almost the same way as the
domestic ones, where the hot air from inside is taken out make the
internal environment a cooler and a drier one. Now, like all the other
components of any vehicle or a machine, air conditioners of a car can
also experience some problems. The most common and sometimes
unavoidable problem the system of air conditioning in a car faces is
just after the passing of the colder months. Due to the non-usage of
it for over two or three months at a stretch, it may not start up the
first time you want to start it up in the summers. Also, the moisture
content in the air may also contaminate the component, by turning into
crystals of ice and obstructing the free movement of air to the
condenser from the compressor. Now, problem in the compressor itself
can arise if debris like insects, dead leaves, etc obstructs the valve
of the condenser. The compressor needs a certain amount of coolant or
refrigerant, also known as Freon, for cooling purposes. If the amount
of this Freon goes below normal, problem in the car air conditioner
may arise.Having the wrong kind of lubricant in the system may also
create problem for the normal working of the air conditioner. Also,
dysfunction of the clutch and the switches and wearing out of the
compressor are some of the common problems found in the car air
conditioning system.
