Master Your Copy And You Master The Game!

Do you ever wonder why only a small handful of network marketers are
wildly successful while the rest struggle in their marketing efforts?
The simple fact is that those who are succeeding have acquired a skill
that is integral to all marketers. The one most overlooked skill is
the art of copy writing. Without good copy you might as well through
in the towel, because good copy is what separates the mediocre from
the exceptional. If you want to attract high quality prospects to your
blog or landing pages, then you need to be able to write compelling
copy which reels them in. Here's the formula to do that:1. Know your
target audience: Before you create your copy, identify your target
market. Who is the audience? Take into consideration their age,
occupation, income level, fears, wants and desires. What is their
biggest problem? This is key to getting your copy concise and well
received.2. Create a compelling headline: This is the most important
step! Without a catchy and powerful headline your reader will not even
open your email or read your ad. Make sure that you keep it short and
simple and charge them emotionally. Use verbs as much as possible.
Capture and motivate them from the beginning. You can check out 100
Good Advertising Headlines by Victor Schwab for ideas on how to write
a great headline.3. Create a story: Be interesting. Speak to your
prospect in a very personal tone. Use the word "you" as much as
possible. Being impersonal will not create a sense of connection to
you from the reader. You want to write as if you are speaking to a
friend whom you really care about. This is critical.4. Create a
problem: Talk from personal experience. Once you've identified your
prospects problem then you can write about a situation that they can
relate to. Everybody has some kind of problem that can make them
interested in your product or service.5. Frustrate Them: Make their
problem seem bigger than life. Wind up their emotions and make them
feel angry that they are in their situation. By creating frustration
it will make them feel that they have to act now. Tap into their
emotional state and touch them where it's hurting.6. Offer a solution:
Once you have them in this emotional "tizzy" then you can offer the
solution. This is where you can offer your product or service to them.
Don't worry about how long your copy is, because if they don't take
the time to read it they probably weren't really interested anyway. If
they do read it then you most likely have a highly qualified lead. This
was a brief outline on how to write effective copy. A great book that
I recommend is Mail Order Millionaire Copy writing Secrets by Gil
Carlson.
