Travelling on My Own - The Grand Canyon

On my way to the Grand Canyon, I visited Las Vegas firstly. And then
I rent a car and drove to Kingman, where I stayed for one night at the
Visitor's Center. Following the Historic Route 66 to the falls, I
could see much different beautiful scenery. I bought a map of Route 66
there and a kind woman at the Center told us many scenic spots along
the way. She was very kind and helpful. I stopped at a shop for some
ice-cream, and the shop owner was very funny. He has a car in front of
the shop, and the car was plastered with various interesting pictures.
I think every tourist will like it and want to take a picture with
this unusual car.And then I passed Grand Canyon Gaversn. Due to my
busy schedule, I didn't have a stop there. But I am sure that it is a
fantastic place, as it is one of the only "dry caverns" in the world.
The only thing in the world is actually worth a stop. I took my first
look of the falls in the Mather Point. It was breathtaking! I was very
lucky, because I had particularly fine weather all the time I stayed
there. I lived in a National Park lodge, Yavapai Lodge. It became
crowded when I arrived, so I didn't get a room near the rim. But the
room was spacious and clean, and everything was ok. Tourists can fully
relax themselves and enjoy a happy time there.I got up very early next
day. After washing my face, I took a deep breath in front of my
window. The air was very fresh and clear. I could feel that I was very
close to the nature. I took the Hermit's Rest shuttle tour and began
my fantastic tour at 8am. I walked to the rim and then rode the rest
way. When I stood at the rim, I was deeply impressed by the grand
scenery. And I took lots of great pictures there. The Grand Canyon is
as wonderful as I imagine. I think I will visit it again with my
family next time.
